This page covers the Claire classic bedroom and a simple way to rebuild it: one line, one wood. Claire placed a carved solid wood bed with three-drawer nightstands, a four-drawer chest, a mirror and a wardrobe. Here all three pieces come from the New Deco line by Francesco Pasi, in cherry.
Why one collection keeps the room calm
Pieces from one collection share wood, profiles and proportions, so nothing competes. That matters most in a room with a large wardrobe. The New Deco Wardrobe, Natural Bicolor by Francesco Pasi has two sliding doors veneered in a two-tone natural finish and 60 mm solid cherry uprights. Sliding doors also keep the floor in front of the wardrobe free.
Bed and nightstands in the same cherry
Using the same cherry on the bed and nightstands ties the sleeping wall together. The New Deco Fretworked Bed by Francesco Pasi has a solid cherry structure, 45 mm, and a shaped headboard with grid fretwork. The New Deco Nightstand, Natural Facade has a 25 mm cherry blockboard top and a facade in natural or dark natural cherry, with drawers in solid cherry, 34 mm. Compare the set with any other luxury bedroom suite.
When to break the set
Break the set only with a contrasting finish on a single piece. These three pieces are offered in cherry or in white, grey or sand lacquer, so a grey bed against a natural wardrobe still matches in profile. Sand lacquer gives the mildest contrast with natural cherry, white the strongest. For other rooms, see high end designer furniture.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I mix lacquer and natural cherry in one room?
Yes. The bed, wardrobe and nightstand are each offered in cherry or in white, grey or sand lacquer, so one piece can contrast.
What is the nightstand made of?
Cherry blockboard, 25 mm, in seven layers, with doors and drawers in solid cherry, 34 mm.
Does the bed include a slatted base?
No. The orthopaedic slatted base is sold separately.
